LEHZAA Creative Team

THE CREATIVE TEAM

The creative synergy between Mrunal Khimji and Rishabh Manocha gave birth to Lehzaa in the Sultanate of Oman.

Lehzaa in Urdu means style, individual style. It was born out of the need to fill the void between inaccessible high end clothing and fast, disposable ready-to-wear.

Socio-cultural sensitivity and keenness to offer the most value to one’s wardrobe are the cornerstones of the brand.

FOUNDERS

Mrunal Khimji

In a world of fashion architects, decorators and curators, Khimji is the bridge between the latter two. Her aim is not just to dress women to impress but also to build an outfit that crosses eras, merges cultures and blurs borders.

Mrunal Khimji studied Jewellery Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. She later worked at Rosy Blue and Intergold, but eventually found her calling in personalised couture garments that tell a tale. Her eponymous atelier, Mrunal’s Boutique, has been successfully running since 2007 in Muscat, Oman. The bespoke brand aims to create couture which is affordable and accessible in Oman and all around the world.

A champion of India’s cottage and handloom industries, Mrunal collaborates with small-scale artisans and designers - young and veteran alike - to celebrate their craft. She also devotes her time in consulting with Madhurya Creations to further accelerate her mission to support hand loomers and their craft.

Her latest venture - Rumi Design Studio - is an accessory line with Rushali Jaising. The brand offers sustainable, natural and vegan designer footwear collaborating their core values of ethical sourcing, natural fabrications and conscious making.
